    Born in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia on 31st March 1950, Edgar had his earlier education at St. Thomas's School in Kuching. After completing his Cambridge A Levels he started work as a journalist for a local English newspaper. He joined an international British conglomerate as a Marketing Manager for 13 years before working for a Japanese motor company, Toyota; and then the German automobile maker BMW.His further education took him to Bath, England and to Toyko and Nagoya in Japan. He has since worked in various fields throughout the island of Borneo and the peninsular of Malaya.His start in film making began in 1987 with "Farewell to the King" the John Milius/Nick Nolte adventure set in Borneo. With Chandran Rutnam of Sri Lanka's Film Locations Services he formed Southeast Asia Film Locations Services; they co-produced Hollywood films,"The Sleeping Dictionary", "The Intended" and for Disney the IMAX production of "The Sacred Planet".Edgar is currently active in the film locations and production industry throughout Borneo.
