    Omina is a full-service Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning engineering services firm that developed Justifai, a trustworthy AI as a Service platform. Omina retained me to plan and implement business strategy in the US, oversee US operations, and support worldwide marketing, sales, operational planning, and project management. Highlights of my tenure include:► Ensuring compliance, privacy, and auditability by design to propel Justifai’s development.► Structuring and managing complex international corporate transactions.► Currently providing strategic direction regarding Justifai governance, compliance, investment, and risk management programs.► Successfully leading internal company efforts and outside counsel in drafting and prosecuting Omina’s patent application to the EU Patent Office (A computer-implemented method for deriving a data processing and inference pipeline; EP 20203454) and submitting applications at the USPTO and CN Patent Office.► Overseeing internal company efforts and outside counsel to successfully obtain protection for Omina’s trademark portfolio in the EU, US, UK, and CN.► Developing and implementing company governance, risk management, and compliance plan, including ISO-based risk management approach, Business Continuity Management, and vendor risk management.► Drafting data privacy/security policies and procedures; leading onboarding and annual internal training.► Creating a standardized contract template repository that aligns with project risk profile.► Leading an AI/ML multi-phase, multi-client Compliance Project involving a regulatory change management system and prediction of compliance risk—completed on time and on budget.► Spearheading ongoing development of a robot platform that uses AI to learn and teach neuro-diverse children (MVP launch on schedule for 2024).

    I have been winding down my role with this compliance and risk management software and services company since joining Omina. Here, I was hired to manage internal corporate, contract, and IP legal matters; and provide risk management and compliance consulting and software solutions to clients in financial services, energy/utilities, environmental, healthcare, and technology sectors.Highlights of my tenure included:► Developed C2C’s Compliance Mapper software regulatory compliance and regulatory change management modules, implemented with five customers (including Truist Bank, using the system since inception). ► Managed Truist Bank annual services contract that includes compliance and regulatory change services integrated with Truist’s Archer system.► Successfully completed six privacy risk assessments for technology, financial services, and healthcare companies.► Led 20+ companies to obtain information security and/or privacy certifications (e.g., ISO 27001).
