Awarded major honors in journalism and was a Pulitzer Prize Finalist. My efforts in diversity hiring at newspapers and magazines created benchmarks for the industry to follow. I’ve held almost every newsroom position from copy clerk to reporter, copy editor, news editor/copy desk chief, business editor to managing editor. Other roles encompassed staff recruiting and training.
