As Head – Operation Theater & CSSD:OT:• Availability of Equipment and instruments for all the procedures scheduled for the day.• Proper maintenance of equipment’s and instruments is taken care without affecting the surgeries.• Procuring the new material according to the need and requirement.• In coordination with the biomedical team, schedule the maintenance of OT Equipment’s.• Coordinating OT committee meeting once in 3 months.• Ensure the infection control measures are followed in OT.• Preparing annual budget in coordination with all the surgical specilities coordinators.• Coordinating with the OT Pharmacy and Stores for finalizing the patient bills.• Monitoring each OT utilization and number of cases done for the day.• To ensure the following: OT case scheduling, availability of biomedical equipment, JCI accreditation norms are obeyed to, MIS reports are prepared, manpower allotment and Quality monitors reporting.CSSD:• Ensure the sterility of instruments, with different methods of sterilization.• Maintaining the log books for loading, receiving and issuing of the instruments.• Ensure staff safety in sterilization process.• Introduces process improvement steps for sterilization methods.• Having Excellence program in CSSD, with international standards following according to the AAMI guidelines• Each sterilization load we challenge the sterilization process with the indicators for patient care.• Follow-up on regular maintenance of the sterilizers.• Continuous on job training about the technology to update technicion skills.• Initiated HIS process for the department of CSSD for proper billing of instrument trays and other consumables.
