    • Assisted the power engineers in the restoration of the power grid after a national power grid collapse. • Assisted in the running of Insulation Resistance (IR) test and Polarity Index (PI) test on a power transformer • Supervised by the lines engineers, I assisted in the identification and repair of faults in the switchyard and on distribution cables such as treatment of hotspot at 33kv switchyard, replacement of bimetal, replacement of current transformer clamps etc. • Assisted in the testing and metering of current transformers and voltage transformers. Tested current transformers using CT analyzer. • Monitored the meter readings from the feeders and relays, performed the duty of opening and closing of circuit breakers in cases of faults. • Participated in the replacement of a single break isolator and the replacement of a pig tail on a single break isolator. Achievement- Gained practical knowledge in the insulation and polarity index test carried out on power transformers.
