    Name of the Project: Supervision of Works and Technical Assistance for the District Heating in Gjakova/Kosovo.Description of Project: Construction of the biomass heating plant with cogeneration technology - CHP in Gjakova/DjakovicaOverall objective of the project: To contribute to security of energy supply by reducing the thermal energy losses and by increasing the share of renewables in energy production in Kosovo.The purpose of the project is construction of a biomass-based heating plant for the beneficiary 'District Heating Company of Gjakova/Djakovica'. The plant will be fuelled with biomass which includes wood residues from forestry, wood waste from primary and final word processing, and vine trimmings. My task is supervision of Engineering services for supply and installation of equipment and materials, construction works of a new heating plant including a cogeneration unit (herewith 'the plant') and district heating pipeline-connection between ne DH Plant and existing network up to Provisional Acceptance and Certification

    The name of the project “Municipal Social and Economic Infrastructure”, funded by EU Office in Kosovo and implemented by EPTISA. On the abovementioned EU funded project, I was part of the team of experts and consultants in the capacity of Supervisor and Designer / Mechanical Engineer, following the construction works on various building sites across the territory of Kosovo.I was responsible for following the mechanical works (heating and ventilation) for the following phases:Municipal Social and Economic Infrastructure (MSEI), Phase IV:Municipal Social and Economic Infrastructure (MSEI), Phase V:Municipal Social and Economic Infrastructure (MSEI) Phase VI:Detailed design review and re-designing certain Mechanical/HVAC items and sections; Full supervision of works on site, control of quantities, defect liability and handing over; Other activities such as separate analysis required by the Client. Preparing detailed analyses including potential benefits and disadvantages on different models for heating systems for public buildings.

    Name of the Project: Supervision, Monitoring, Verification and Evaluation of Energy Measures in 63 Schools in Kosovo and 2 Hospitals in PristinaThe total investment cost for renovation of the 63 schools in Kosovo & 2 Hospitals in Pristina is app. 14 Million Euros. In this project I have been engaged in: Expert in all stages of the implementation of the project and the Defects Liability Period (DLP)Design review and approval including Energy efficient materials such as TRV’s, energy monitoring systems, efficient biomass boilers, Review of energy audit reportsFull supervision of works on site, control of quantities, defect liability and handing overMonitoring, verification and evaluation of the implemented energy efficiency measures during the DLP.Final report on verification of measures and EE savings from Audit report Recommendations. The project included renovation of the 63 school buildings which are located all over Kosovo. The buildings used to be heated with inefficient heating systems using individual wood stoves, individual boilers on wood/coal or individual boilers on liquid fuel. Most of the school buildings were located in different towns and cities which do not have DH, new heating systems were installed including heating radiators and network, also new efficient biomass boilers where installed to replace old heating systems. The building which were connected to DH such as Gjakova schools the heating substation where replaced with new modern efficient heating substations. Within the project there is a construction of a new biomass boilers with large capacities above 1 MW to switch the fuel from Heavy Fuel Oil or light oil to Biomass.     In the period October 2000 until Jan 2012, I have worked in the DH Termokos in position Director of the Distribution DepartmentOther duties and responsibilities performed during period 2000-2012:Daily operation of heating distribution departmentDevelopment plan (short, medium and long term) for district heating network and substations in Pristina, Action plan for operation and maintenance of district heating in Pristina including heating network, substations, metering, billing collection and maintenance of secondary heating installations of end users. Design of heating network rehabilitation and modernization projects for heating substations including heat exchangers, monitoring system, metering and balancing devices using energy efficient technology. Design and supervision of installation of the heating network and heating substations for all costumers which were connected to DH as well for the new costumers. Design of rehabilitation programs and supervision of implementation of old network replacement with new pre-insulated pipelines, replacement of old heating substations with new modern heat exchangers substations with all measuring and control devises. District heating optimization by analyzing a coordinated generation and transmission expansion of district heating system. Preparation and implementation of energy tariff methodologies in district heating sector. Review of cost calculation and implementation of district heating tariffsPrepare all data’s readings from the costumer energy meters located in the heating substation. Regular maintenance and investments in the energy meter devices in all costumer heating substations. Design and proposal of new heating systems for district heating costumers switching the lump sum billing system with consumption-based billing in the dwellings.
