    Vision Nine is a live entertainment business specialising in events, festivals and experiences that bring people together, particularly by combining sport and lifestyle with live music. I was employed to lead, develop and motivate the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely company records, financial statements, and reports to guide board decision-making.◼ Set and managed challenging team goals, implemented a performance review process, and improved morale by creating a supportive and learning environment.◼ Planned and managed all stages of the annual statutory audit, and re-engineered financial controls and processes across the group to improve the accuracy of accounts, and gathered, reviewed and submitted monthly financial data to the CFO.◼ Consolidated department budgets, forecasted group cash flow, managed working capital, and presented to C-Level flagging risks and opportunities.◼ Engaged with external partners and stakeholders, including HMRC, auditors, and banks, and formed strong mutually beneficial business relationships, and business partnered Heads of Departments.◼ Led a business-critical project to recover financial data following a catastrophic system failure, completed due diligence on complex MBO of group companies, and managed a complex settlement for an event cancellation (recovered all £10m of losses).◼ Gained company-wide recognition for designing and implementing best practice processes to advance system integrity, control, transparency and efficiency for both finance functions and business operations.

    The Brighton Pier Group owns and trades Brighton Palace Pier, along with nationwide premium bars, indoor mini golf sites, and the Lightwater Valley theme park in North Yorkshire. I was hired to lead delivery of monthly Management Accounts and review with key stakeholders (FD, MD, and H of Ops) and to evaluate company performance.◼ Compiled and presented financial reports to provide senior managers with insights, consulted with FC and FD to prepare budgeting, forecasting and statutory accounts.◼ Managed financial activities including, preparation of company balance sheet, recording of EPOS transactions, and production of key performance indicators/reports for the board.◼ Gained valuable business data by conducting site specific variance analysis (with commentary) by gathering key financial data from the company’s portfolio of sites.◼ Designed and implemented a group operational reporting process providing the board with early access to critical performance data, and enabled informed decision-making◼ Provided expert input to senior management to enable business-critical migration to ERP system, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and post implementation support.◼ Prepared and presented monthly management accounts for the board and annual budget, with a commentary on significant movements, financial forecasting, and an evaluation of commercial drivers.
