    I am self employed owner of a health Retreat and author of detox diet books, articles and journals.About 17 years ago I was very ill. My colleagues who were nurses and doctors gave up on me and I went on a quest to save my life. Not only did I go back to school but I traveled the country for a cure after being left in bed for over a year. I discovered through my own research if you take away all toxic foods and give the body pure foods which I discovered by giving my body pure baby food that I would increase my energy and decrease my pain and increase my brain energy and of course the weight loss followed. After years of detoxing I realize I was better after I moved to Martha’s Vineyard and some years later met my co –author James Hester who received amazing results from my program and decided that it was too good to be true. So he brought one of his famous football friends up to the retreat to get healed though the program and again was amazed he asked me if I wanted to do a book. So we did and made the New York Times Best Seller List I believe today we are living in a time when people are taking charge of their health and they are tired of bogus diets and exercise equipment failure.
