    As the Head of the Pupil Support Department, I am fortunate to manage an excellent team consisting of a councellor, nurse, additional academic support teacher, life coach, an Integrative Learning therapist and an Integrative speech support staff member. We support our pupils from ECD to Grade 12, in a holistic way. Support is also provided for parents and staff. I also form part of our Senior Management team.

    I am an artist, who believe that art therapy in various forms brings integration in healing and also in development of potential. At my Gruispad Theatre I spesialise in drama therapy for persons with autism. This is the area of focus of my PhD in Autism and Drama (University of Free State). I also create a love for reading by reading for the Public Library at schools. This was my area of focus in the Masters Degree that I did through the University of Stellenbosch. I taught Afrikaans literature and Language for Grade 9 to 11 at Kimberley Girls' High; trained journalists to create an art-magazine with a difference; taught creative writing for the Poetry Club and lastly love to do freelance radio volunteer work at the local radio station. I train learners to interview people, and to present their work over the radio too.
