    This was my first real job, added here for those who have asked me how a woman can become a CEO. My mother's friend taught me bookkeeping and office procedures in a couple of hours and I muddled through while she took summer vacation. Lesson to be learned: Work as if you have the job you really want, listen to people who know, and never lose your sense of humor. (No, those are not the real dates - I was actually too young to work, and would not want to get this fine company into retroactive trouble.)
