    The Innovation Skills division of AIM focuses on Education-related initiatives. We have 3 main initiatives; the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP), the iTHINK programme, and the Design Thinking programme. The IBMYP was piloted in 10 Malaysian public schools, and is different from other instances of the IBMYP in that students of these schools will still take the SPM national examination in year 5. Thus far, 8 schools have been awarded the IB World School status, with the remaining 2 slated for verification before the end of 2017. The iTHINK programme was designed to promote Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in Malaysian schools. Our initial model was to do face-to-face training. We then moved to an online training method via the Kursus iTHINK Dalam Talian (KiDT) platform. The programme has since been handed over to the Ministry of Education (MoE), who is championing it via their MyGfL platform.The Design Thinking programme is offered via Genovasi, which is the only Design Thinking school in Malaysia that is accredited by the Hasso Platner Institute (HPI), and the d.school of Stanford University. Design Thinking is an alternative approach to problem solving, and places great emphasis on empathy and human values.Currently, I am part of a team that is working on a new initiative that will hopefully bring about a comprehensive shift in the curriculum delivery in Malaysian schools. This initiative, done in collaboration with the MoE and many other relevant stakeholders, will look at assimilating the best practices of both local and international education systems, with the overarching intention of creating students who are equipped with all necessary skills to survive and thrive in the 21st century.

    The Performance Management Team (PMT) of AIM manages the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the various initiatives, and prepares reports for the relevant stakeholders, among which are Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU), the Economic Planning Unit (EPU), and Jabatan Perdana Menteri (JPM).In PMT, I was tasked with the following:- Prepare appropriate templates for monthly KPI reports for 4 initiatives, and prepare relevant reports for stakeholders.- Provide assistance to initiatives to ensure KPIs are achieved.- Prepare necessary documentation for AIM's Governance Council meetings.- Attend Outcome Based Budgeting meetings and other meetings as requested by JPM, EPU, and other government bodies.- Update information in the Project Management System (SPP II) on a monthly basis.- Prepare documents, speeches, market research and analysis, etc. for the CEO and COO.- Attend meetings as per the request of the CEO and COO.Whilst under PMT, I have represented AIM for the following:- I was part of an Evaluation Committee for 2 projects under the purview of the EPU.- Attended the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2016 conference at Putrajaya- Attended a dialogue session by the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities (MPIC)

In PlaTCOM, I was tasked with the following:- Interviewing various startups and SMEs to determine their suitability for the High Impact Programme 2 (HIP2), and if suitable, preparing them for the application process.- Preparing market research and analysis documents as requested.- Preparing Tech Profiles i.e. a summary document of a product/ technology that was featured in the Innovating Business Opportunity (IBO) publications of AIM.I played a role in assisting the following companies in their journey to commercialisation success:1.
