eMMissary Fellow + Grants Writer

Oct 2021 - Present
An “emissary” is a person specifically sent on a special mission, usually as a diplomatic representative. A play on the word emissary, eMMissaries (MM is an insider term used by the nonprofit MilitaryMentors) are industry leaders who are screened, selected, and trained through a six-month cohort style leader(ship) development curriculum to become a ‘virtuous insurgency’ for mentorship. Through this certificate program, eMMissaries are ‘MM insiders’ who represent the nonprofit in a positive light, help to increase organization awareness, and seek out opportunities to purposefully influence others. They are regional level volunteer leaders which seek to build opportunities to engage mentors, mentees, and other leaders at the local level, while increasing MM’s ability to rapidly respond more effectively to burgeoning professional development needs and trends.
