During her tenure as Chair, Dr Chew was instrumental in the development of the strategic plan for the College, and implementation of a range of initiatives to establish a robust corporate governance framework.

Dr Chew had direct interaction with external stakeholders through the Queensland GP Alliance Group, the AMAQ Council of General Practice, the Queensland Committee of Medical Specialist Chairs and the Queensland Clinical senate. The role as Chair also involved extensive interaction with state health ministers and various state government departments.
