    I manage the Technical Services teams at NSIDC: the Operations team, the System Administration team, the Database Administrators, and the cyber security officer. I attempt to understand new trends and shifts in technology and apply those to benefit the NSIDC mission. I also promote and coordinate technical knowledge across the organization.

    As lead system administrator at NSIDC I manage a team of four very skilled and very independent system administrators. I define priorities and task scheduling for the group based on Data Center activities and projects. While each system administrator has a specialty for which they are responsible, I am responsible for providing an overall computing and data storage infrastructure that satisfies a wide variety of requirements from software developers, technical writers, scientific data analysts, and administrative personel.
