Responsible for the set-up and operation of Flexographic Wide Web Printing press equipment. Supports and directs the Press Helper in his/her job tasks to ensure safe, optimal, press efficiency, quality and production standards. Meet schedules and timelines; handle multiple priorities. Possess problem solving skills. Follow and actively support all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines. General Housekeeping and 5S/7S. Maintain all housekeeping standards to ensure care and maintenance of equipment and sustain an organized, clean work environment free from debris and hazards. Maintain standards associated with CILT (Clean Inspect-Lubricate-Tighten). Machine/Job Setup/Run: (Time, Quality, Accuracy). Inspect raw materials to verify accuracy and conformance to product specifications. Perform tasks associated with changing anilox rollers, plate sleeves, carbon fiber mandrels & ink changes, building and changing doctor blades. Set, Replace, and/or Adjust slitter blades. Establish machine conditions for temperatures and tensions to achieve high quality standards within Standard Operation Procedures as set forth by management. Perform tasks associated with Quality Management Program (Inspection for Print Quality). Possess keen attention to detail with visual acuity to sufficiently identify product non-conformances inclusive of basic colors and shades. Comply with procedures to eliminate down-time. Accurately record production data within the computer database. Maintain established targets/standards. Independently determine and correct problems related to waste, NEFM, minutes per change and downtime to meet established production standards/targets and maintain up to date information hourly on visual/communication board.

Perform required tasks in support of the Wide Web Flexographic. Loading/Unloading material on the press. General housekeeping and 5S/7S. Cleaning small spills of inks and solvents. Preparation, labeling, and disposing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and trash. Measure ink viscosity. Set and adjust viscosity units. Maintain viscosity logs. Attain correct ink from Ink room and label. Assist operator with changing cylinders, building and replacing doctor blades, press set-ups, make-readys, and web breaks. Inspection of finished goods for print defects. Packaging of finished goods. Accurately record production data within the computer database. Assisting with the continuous running of press during operator absence (breaks, lunches, etc.).
