Started career with Sun Valley (Cargill) following completing a 1 year sponsorship by Sun Valley at Hereford Group Training Association in doing a BTEC Certificate in Business Administration. My first permanent role within the Sun Valley, Hereford business was in the Central Recruitment office recruiting for factory operational and agricultural sites, which was one of the areas I had supported during my first year as a Trainee with HGTA. I later moved into the role working for the EH&S Manager with my area of responsibility covering the monitoring and reporting of incidents, accidents and near misses to our Corporate Body and HSE along with collating and typing up site Audit reports for reporting to the Leadership Team and Cargill. The role also covered the administration for Employers Liability Claims which involved liaising with Management, HR colleagues, Insurers and Solicitors. In Spring 1998 I made the decision to move to a part-time role, working as part of the Main Reception and Postal Room operation where I became the Senior Receptionist, being responsible for ensuring team cover of the reception / switchboard and postal / courier services. This involved being responsible for and managing the Reception, Post Room and Company Newspaper / Magazines Budget, liaising with the Departmental Accountant and Financial Director. In May 2003 I then moved back into the Shared Services HR team.
