Provides leadership and represents the department on task forces and work groups which coordinate the activities of various units within DHR, other agencies and the public.• Gathers, processes and upload information into the Maryland Health Connection to determine health insurance eligibility/approval for customers for medical assistance or qualified health programs. • Applies a range of analytical and evaluation methods and techniques for the assessment of program efficiency and effectiveness relating to Medicaid programs. • Evaluates Medicaid insurance program results to make recommendations for improving or modifying program operations. • Provides advice or consultation on the implementation of policies related to Medicaid insurance. • Gathers research and prepares technical information and written correspondence in response to program inquiries, complaints and issues; and conducts reviews to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of health insurance related programs and taking appropriate action to correct problems to obtain compliance.
