    • Credit Analyst
      • Apr 2014 - Dec 2015
      • Madison, Wisconsin Area

During my time with John Deere I worked in three distinct areas. I reviewed loan applications for consumer loans for John Deere riding mowers up to and including the smallest agricultural tractor. My job was to determine if they fit the profile for the type of loan applied for, either unsecured or secured. If not I would review to determine if we can approve with a change to financing options or if additional down payment will be acceptable. Once a decision was made I called the dealer and advised what we could do. The second option was reviewing commercial loan applications up to one million dollars, typically for landscaping companies who upgraded 20% to 25% of their equipment on a yearly basis. While working with these customers we reviewed financials and other information not required for consumer customers. Our third category is farmers applying for unsecured financing up to $120,000 to cover seed purchases, pesticides and funds for repair of equipment as required. The process typically took a day to review financial documents and have a senior credit analyst review our recommendation before communicating a decision.

  • US Bank

    • Customer Service Manager
      • Jan 2012 - Apr 2014
      • Madison, Wisconsin Area

In this position I managed a team of 15 people at one of the largest branches in our district. Responsible for day-to-day operations, assuring out team was hitting their goals, weekly coaching, training, and growing loan volume in order to generate revenue. The quarter before I joined the branch the revenue was $387,000. During my first quarter we increased the revenue to $607,000 and $587,000 in fourth quarter, exceeding the first two quarters of the year. We accomplished by increasing the number of teller referrals for credit cards, the amount of teller referrals to a Banker and by helping our lending team focus on generating more loan applications through cross-selling and in-house mortgage refinancing. Our branch was recognized for having the highest percentage of teller credit card sales in the region.

    • Personal Banker
      • Jan 2010 - Jan 2012

My responsibilities included establishing new business through referral marketing and outbound calling to continually grow our loan volume and establish new checking accounts. In order to do that I worked with each guest to assure they were in the proper account to maximize their benefits. I took the time to identify how they liked to bank in an effort to identify new products and/or services that would benefit them and help them earn the most rewards. I actively solicited streamlined mortgage refinances allowing guests to lower their interest rate, shorten the term of their loan, and save substantial amounts of money over the term of their loam, all with no closing costs. I also worked with businesses to identify the best deposit accounts for their unique needs along with ancillary products such as the ability to accept credit cards to increase sales and establishment of lines of credit to allow them to take advantage of all opportunities. My duties also required management of the branch and training of employees, both on the teller line and other bankers. During my tenure I was recognized as the Top Banker in the District in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarter of 2011 and received a Star of Excellence in the 3rd quarter, an award given to the top 5% of Bankers in US Bank nationwide. I finishing the year with 6.4 Million in Consumer Lending, the highest in the Region. As a result of my efforts I was promoted to Customer Service Manager at US Bank in Madison Wisconsin.

    • Consumer Loan Officer
      • 2007 - 2010

My duties included Consumer and Mortgage Lending as well as training of other lender and coaching the teller staff on the best practices for referring business to the lending team. When I started we had no mortgage loan officer so I assumed the duties and started building our loan portfolio. Shortly after starting I was averaging 70 + loans a month, 175% of goal, leading to being named an All Star and receiving a trip to Chicago as a reward. During my tenure I routinely maintained the highest score, based on a balanced score card system, being one of only a handful of Consumer Loan Officers to exceed the 2.0 score required. As our loan volume continued to outpace the larger branches I oversaw the training of two Consumer Loan Officers and two Mortgage Loan Officers, who I also managed. In my last year at Marine Credit Union our branch was named the Top Branch in the company and most of our staff was rewarded with All Star Awards for excellence. In my last year I was the Top Consumer Lender for four month, more than any other lender in the company and received my second All Star Award.
