WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT: Created a cutting-edge holistic wellness directory containing over 7,000 practitioners throughout New England and New York. Visitors could search by service, location, or even find a yoga class running on a Wednesday night. Simply by entering their information into our online database, practitioners could easily create their own basic website, as well as printable fliers for their classes. DATABASE DEVELOPMENT: Designed and built the SQL Server database that powered the site, including indexes, tables, data types, writing the SQL queries, etc.PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Hired and managed IT contractors that programmed the interface between the web site and the database, the practitioner user interface, as well as the zip code location finder functionalities. Oversaw completion of the entire website from inception to launch.SALES & MARKETING: Developed strategic partnerships with leading holistic expo companies, and our product was included in a marketing kit sold nationally to holistic practitioners. Created trade show displays and manned the booth. Designed brochures and other marketing materials. Active Business Networking International (BNI) member. - BOOKKEEPING: Set up and used QuickBooks Pro to manage company accounting.

WEB MAINTENANCE: Updated TJMaxx.com and MarshallsOnline.com weekly with new promotions, graphics, interactive quizzes etc. When needed, I added new pages or edited the page coding to accommodate marketing's requests.PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Organized and streamlined the documentation and editing process to eliminate errors and down time. CONTENT MANAGEMENT: When I came onboard, the websites were running on a half-built Vignette content management system. In order to update any graphics or text, I had to go into tables in SQL Server and update cell by cell. I knew the company was planning on a major overhaul of their sites in a few years, so in the meantime I built a MS ACCESS front-end to the SQL Server, enabling the updates to be done easily and much more efficiently through user-friendly forms.

RECEPTION: Greeted and screened visitors, answered phones, distributed mail, sent packages, updated databases, spreadsheets, and documents.PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: I converted a bulky 100+ page MS Excel spreadsheet used to print product pricing labels into a streamlined, user-friendly Access database. A vendor trying to sell us specialized software for the purpose couldn’t believe I was able to create our own low-budget app. When the office was to be remodeled, I suggested modifications in the layout that resulted in a highly efficient printing, packaging, faxing and shipping area used by the entire office. I collected frequently used contacts from all staff members and pre-programmed faxes, shipping and labeling machines to help automate tasks.
