    Led the research on the academic paper ‘Retail Carbon Footprints: Measuring Impacts from Real Estate and Technology,’ published on the REIL website. Prologis also quoted the study in their report titled ‘Environmental Benefits of Ecommerce.’Modeled and ran a Monte Carlo simulation of 10,000 trials to assess the environmental impact of ecommerce industrial real estate when compared to brick-and-mortar retail. Studied then ways in which technological interventions can change the outcomes.Approached the problem using a 3-step analysis: descriptive, predictive and prescriptive. This project involved significant quantitative work and data science; the study took 400+ hours. Extensive work using databases for energy, properties, and geolocational. Interviewed top professionals and researchers within the logistics and real estate industries while working alongside the REIL Director and Prologis’ Head of Research. Presented the results at Prologis’ 2020 Q4 Research Webinar.
