After 35 years in petroleum geology, I volunteered for 12 years in the 4th grade. I am now an ethnic geologist hiking mostly west of the Dakota ridge and the Golden Fault. Recent field trips have been necessary to resolve geologic issues -- 16 art caves in Spain and France; 16 islands in the Galapagos; assorted carbonate field trips in the Bahammas.
