The Sussex HR Hub supports businesses across Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey - especially those that either don't have their own HR department or who need additional support and expertise on particular issues.We consult on a full range of services: mergers & acquisitions, redundancy strategy, managing change, organisational development, company culture, TUPE, recruitment and HR strategy. We are a strong team of professionally qualified members of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Along with working directly with clients, I head up our team ensuring we remain close-knit and able to provide our clients with the very best support. My main focus is on developing close relationships with our clients and ensuring their needs are fully taken care of.

Provided employee relations and HR policy advice to HR Business Partners, managers and staff in 30 sites throughout England. Responded to and advised managers on employment tribunal claims relating to unfair dismissal, discrimination, flexible working; drafted ET responses (ET3s) and provided witness statements.Developed HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK statute and NHS requirements; consulted with managers, trades unions and other stakeholders; presented documents to the executive management for ratification; advised on implementation and application of HR policies and procedures.Key achievements at NHS Direct:I provided robust and reliable HR and employment advice to senior management resulting in the successful implementation of major organisational change programmes; specifically in relation to management restructures; new working arrangements and roster systems; collective and individual consultation on redundancy; changes to terms and conditions of employment; decommissioning of the NHS Direct 0845 service; and the mobilisation of new services.I steered NHS Direct through a programme to CRB check all front line employees following a change in organisational policy (approx. 3500 staff over 12 months).I led the complex flexible working project following a legal challenge to organisational policy; drafting and implementing policy and guidance; co-ordinating and reviewing applications for flexible working and 'disability' adjustments (in excess of 350); and leading the decision making group.
