    Patriots' Path Council is a major NJ Boy Scout Council with a $6mm budget. I am the former Treasurer and sit on several committees relating to finance, e.g. finance management, and former chair of the investment advisory committee, which is responsible to the board for the management of the council's endowment and capital fund investments.

    Reported to Board of Directors through Directors’ Examining Committee: Revitalized loan review activity to better complement growing, diverse portfolios, including complex structured finance transactions. Crafted new Loan Review Policy Statement and established annual audit targets for board approval. Portfolios audited: leveraged, structured finance; asset based finance; residential mortgages; private clients; correspondent banking; and Miami Edge Office. (Nearly $3 billion in total loans.) Selected an efficient loan-review outsourcing firm to execute credit file examinations and formulate findings, which saved the salary equivalent of two Vice Presidents. Co-conducted an intensive examination of the Bank’s credit and lending processes in 1999, coordinating with an external consultant who reported to the President. Recommended and guided implementation or restructure of key processes, receiving special recognition from the President.
