I was contracted to work over 40hrs per week and had the responsibility of ensuring new staff were fully inducted and trained (including Health & Safety); overseeing that the work performed by a casual team of up to four, met the standards and attention to detail required by the Lodge and their guests. The Lodge had 10 Chalets and 15 Villas ranging from 2 bedroom/2 bathroom to 5 bedrooms/5 bathrooms on 24 acres that we serviced, cleaned and prepped for guests coming and going. Responsibility for keeping the Lodge itself up to a high standard for guests’ dining, weddings and corporate conferences. My role also incorporated the procurement of products and stock required to complete daily operations. I also produced new House-Keeping Procedures to grow my team and for future incoming employees. The Guest Services role also incorporated all tasks associated with hospitality Reception; e.g. guest arrivals & departures; FOH service at breakfast and during conferences; reservations; quotes and responding to enquiries; running reports and daily cutovers of the RoomMaster booking system and POS; assisting guests with their holiday activities and coordinating their arrangements and transportation.

Tasks included accommodation bookings and cancellations; phone and e-mail enquiries; checking guests in and out; Eftpos and cash transactions; arranging guest transport to ski fields and local bus and train transportation; spa bookings; sales of confectionery and Wi-fi Vouchers.
