     Created 3D “UG NX7.0” models of transformer components, such as tank, fan support, conservator support and turrets. Revised and updated parts and assemblies CAD drawings including BOM, tolerance etc. Participated in research and develop program to improve equipment structures. Designed a clamping setting for the test of transformer switch and a tie down fixture on the railcar for transformers’ shipping. Established the conduits layouts of transformers which positioned the studs and brackets on tank wall, making sure all conduits would not interfere in any other accessories. Programmed NX7.0 SmartEdit for tank shunts and rods, control box, as well vertical stiffener.  Analysed stress, shear force, torsional force and strain via simulation in SolidWorks and FEA module in ANSYS. Provided engineering support to technical and service personnel in resolving issues.
