    As a paraprofessional I provide direct, individualized support for students with special needs. I currently work in an elementary school setting, assisting my student in educational, social and behavioral development. I often deliver lesson plans directly in subjects such as reading, writing and math. I also record data on the students behaviors and implement reward systems to increase desirable social behaviors, as outlined in the students Individualized Education Plan.

    Boise State Housing and Residence Life is very people-oriented. We aim to create a world where all students are engaged on-campus so that they develop a sense of community and belonging. As a student marketing assistant, I have specialized in designing advertisements and promotional materials for student organizations and events related to housing. I've worked intimately with people from various departments to develop innovative logos, brochures and informational flyers. This position has taught me the importance of collaboration and communication.

    At Multicultural Student Services, we strive to raise awareness and understanding about oppression, discrimination and prejudice on campus. It is our goal to provide everyone on campus with an environment that respects different values and beliefs. As an office assistant my job was to answer telephone calls, take messages, respond to and send out emails & to complete general office work such as copying, printing, and filing. I enjoyed my job because I was able to develop an insightful perspective on what goes on within Boise State; the interconnections between different departments working alongside one another, the collaboration between us and the students we serve, and impact we have on those students.

I worked closely with him to create promotional materials for the Athletic Department.
