    My family and I left the snowy mountains of Stowe, VT and headed to the sunny beaches of Ventura, CA in June 2020 for my husband’s great job opportunity. Yes, it was at the height of the pandemic. Yes, you may think we’re crazy. But we have only one life to live and life has a lot to teach. Taking a risk and not knowing anyone in California, I learned about the school system while on-line learning and quarantine was in full effect. I became my kids tutor and advocate. This was especially true for my middle son who has Autism. There was a lot of research, perseverance and tenacity in order to find the proper channels for resources and support. Although there were some rocky parts on this section of life’s road, he graduated with a High School diploma & special mention last year. He even wrote a couple of ‘zines which I helped design & distribute at the “Bigfoot” Conference in the Smoky Mountains last summer. The last ‘zine we made was this past winter. Check out “Legends & Mysteries” in my media. Saying “a dios” to the west coast, we have returned to the “right coast” where we have loving support of family & friends. And so, here I am, looking to get back into the workforce.
