The position was responsible for leading the implementation of the Queensland Department of Health, Preventive Health Branches $4.5m state-wide PEACH (Parenting, Eating and Activity for Child Health) QLD Project. This involved the translation of the PEACH Program from efficacious randomised controlled-trial and small scale community trial to an up-scaled larger state-wide program to address the priority health issue and extend the evidence-base of childhood overweight and obesity. PEACH is a 6-month, group based program which aims to increase the capacity of families to adopt healthy lifestyles (nutrition and physical activity), and is a parent-led intervention focused on parents as the agents of change.
