Earth Fault analysed & detected in Lower bar. 2 Nos.Lower Bars Replaced & Complete rewinding done under my Guidance observing all the International Quality / Test Norms.       (j) 235 MW TG (Imported from Russia-Ukrain) RAPP – NPC - Kota Unit -6 (Aug 2010) RegInsitu Repair of Stator Earth Fault in Lower Winding Bar No. 15 (Just at Slot Exit):Visited the site on Customer/ NPC request. The Earth Fault Spot was at Slot Exit & only 40 mm away from Stator Core. The Earth Fault Point was Repaired Insitu with utmost Care without Removal of Winding Bars & Successfully Tested at 28 KV AC High Voltage. This Insitu repair appreciably reduced TG Repair Cost & Huge Generation Loss due to Reduction of Down time of the TG set. Strong appreciation letter received from NPC Customer(k) 100 MW TG Badarpur (NTPC) Unit – 2 (October 2010)Melting of Flexibles Between Generator Bus Ducts & Terminal Bushings:Various Tests done to detect the Fault & the fault analysed. Flexibles Replaced & Machine Synchronised successfully & loaded to full Load.(l) RLA Studies & Current Condition Assessment of 500 MW Korba (NTPC) Unit - 5 Generator (May 2011)As per NTPC tender requirements, it was obligatory for the RLA Bidder to engage a Senior Expert from Generator Design Department from OEM (BHEL- OEM for 500 MW). PTA Hyderabad was awarded the RLA contract with my involvement as OEM – expert for the entire period of RLA activities. The Generator was thoroughly inspected &during the inspection, many Core packets detected loose, some stampings & ventilation spacers detected broken. Also 2 Nos. top winding bars were detected having deep cuts marks & damaged (just at slot exit). All the defects were rectified as per BHEL Quality practices under my guidance
