ICFC was created in 2014 to acquire and operate coffee farms in Panama, on a turn-key basis, on behalf of individual Owners seeking safe offshore hard assets that are capable of yielding reasonable annual returns over a long period of time. For more information please visit www.internationacoffeefarms.comICFC acquired its first coffee farm in January 2015, Subsequently, 10 additional farms have been a cquired through August 2017.The company is well-staffed with a very experienced General Manager and a graduate Agronomist as our Farm Foreman and 17 capable native Indian Panamanians as farm hands. ICFC reserves 20% of the farms gross operating profits annually, solely for the benefit of the farm hands and their families. This "social sustainability" significantly improves the lives of all of our coffee farm workers through higher wages, safer and easier working conditions, full medical and pension benefits and a much higher quality of life with modern living conditions.ICFC has completed 2 harvests (2015/2016 and 2016/2017) of its coffee cherries on its producing farms. It will take another 2-3 years for ICFC to turn-around all of these farms from their current state as commercial coffee producers, into specialty coffee producers. An additional 160,000 coffee saplings have been planted in 2016-2017 that will bear coffee fruit in 3 years.Through the application of capital and modern coffee farming practices ICFC will produce micro-lots of specialty coffee from a number of popular varietals processed in different manners to meet the needs of international green coffee buyers. To guarantee the "traceability" of our single-origin specialty coffee, ICFC has developed its own wet and dry coffee processing mill. We are utilizing state-of-the-art processing equipment from Pinhalense in Brazil. The brand new building housing this equipment, designed solely for the purpose of milling our own coffee to the highest standard, opened in November 2016.
