Commercial Manager & Financial Controller
-
Aug 2013 - Jun 2015
The position at BSH initially was performed by the Accountant of BSH Australia who visited New Zealand for one week a month to perform the New Zealand accounting services. This was proving to not be sufficient for the New Zealand business and the business was lagging behind the requirements of the Global BSH standards for governance, policy and process management, reporting standards and the business was lacking in the Financial and Administration validation and planning of any new business strategy.I was bought in with the title of Commercial Manager/Financial Controller to manage the total finance and administration and improve these requirements lacking in the business.Administration including Business Analytics, Human Resources, Logistics, Planning, Purchasing, Customer Services (Sales order entry), Office Administrator/Reception, Governance, Risk, Contract management. This role was reporting through the country Australia who then reported on behalf of Australia and New Zealand into the region of BSH RAP (Region Asia Pacific) based in Singapore and the requirements of global headquarters in Germany.Due to the success of the business and the improvement in the governance, policy, process, controls, compliance the New Zealand business was removed from Australia control and directly reported into region RAP. This promoted the role to CFO/Director Finance and Business Administration in July 2015.
