Programme Director within Barclays Private Bank to optimise operational processes, take out cost, build additional capacity, improve straight through processing and reduce risk. Reporting to CIO and Ops MD, with objectives to establish a business case, mobilise Ops business change team and build a portfolio of initiatives over the life of the programme, included: Business change, location strategy, asset migration and multiple agile development releases.• Increased Straight Through Processing by 21% across multiple Operational teams, leading to greater efficiency and reduced risk. Built a joint team from business change and technical analysis to create a backlog for application development across multiple solutions. Major focus on Avaloq books and records platform and the handling of Swift messaging to increase process automation and achieve KPI targets. 500 user stories delivered though 15 releases. • Successfully reduced operational effort by 20 FTE, creating capacity and facilitating growth. Built close working relationship with Ops teams to implement process changes and knowledge transfer. • Migrated Barclays held Hedge and Mutual funds, saving £1.2M annually and creating additional 8 FTE capacity. Assets value to £10 billion migrated from multiple to a single custodian providing greater automation and efficiency. Designed and built migration method and automated change to swift codes to recognise new custodian. Enhancements made to multiple systems for maximise benefit from the migration. • Completed location strategy initiative for £0.8M annual saving. Worked with HR and local Ops Directors to realign work to strategic locations in UK and India.
