With Cell-Rite I was responsible for maintaining acceptable and accurate inventory levels, report shortages/overages and all inventory levels weekly for replenishment to ensure continued operations and avoid product or inventory shortages. As Inventory Control I was responsible for classifying, labeling and warehousing all company inventory for future use. My duties also included keeping accurate records of inventory levels and their location to facilitate easy retrieval so the department remained organized and efficient, communicating with the store manager and the company owner, maintain a record of all transfers and disposal, and follow the company control system to reduce damage/breakage and inventory obsolescence. Other responsibilities of my position included assisting in logging all incoming inventory purchases, complete physical inventory counts as required, reconciling the inventory records for a complete and accurate count, and adherence to proper and accurate inventory policies to deter theft and inventory misuse.

My position at Valpak involved daily monitoring, response and problem escalation of all Data Center processes and equipment. I also actively monitored a multi-platform environment while maintaining a working knowledge of all areas of operation and workstation responsibilities. It also was required I work alone for my 12-hour overnight shifts which has afforded me excellent time-management skills. In addition to these duties I was also responsible for handling Support Desk calls after hours ranging from critical systems failures to account maintenance for SAP, Active Directory, and Delivery Logistics, including escalation to appropriate groups if necessary and the use of HP ServiceCenter for problem logging and ticket tracking. Through these activities, my position was responsible for the monitoring and problem management of all IT systems. As a result of my time tenure I now have an A+ certification from CompTIA as well as a working knowledge of the multi-platform multi-operating systems (SUN, MAC, UNIX, Windows/NT) that was used at Valpak, Inc. I have also developed skills associated with the monitoring tools running under these operating systems, including Enterprise LAN servers, MAC servers and graphics renderers, and UNIX servers. In addition I have developed skills relative to VPN and networking in general. Also critical to my position was knowledge of tape processing responsibilities and functionality, and solid oral and written communication skills while working with and following instructions from technical support personnel. I have been responsible for logging problems in the problem/change management system to support personnel and ensuring equipment is serviced and maintained in a timely manner. I have also further developed my skills in human relations and can more effectively interact with peers, management and external users.

I have also developed an understanding of the utilities on MVS under TSO and Non-IBM products including SAR, 3.4 Data Set Utility, Quick Ref. as well as VM's Utilities such as VMSched, VMTape, VMArchive, and VMBackup. Also critical to my position is knowledge of tape processing responsibilities and functionality, and solid oral and written communication skills while working with and following instructions from technical support personnel. During my tour of duty I gained the skills and knowledge that was necessary to install and operate Mobile Subscriber Equipment (MSE) Line-of-Sight (LOS) equipment; to troubleshoot and maintain the LOS shelters at unit level and install, operate, and troubleshoot a LOS link. I received training needed to install MSE antenna/masts and participated in System Training Exercises (STX). I acquired skills and knowledge that helped me to become a Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator-Maintainer at ECB or EAC as well as installation, operation, and maintenance of RAU (Radio Access Units) and the installation, operation, troubleshooting and unit level maintenance of DGM Line-of-Sight equipment, shelters, links, and antennas. I also gained the security clearance of Secret.I was responsible for installation, operation, and unit level maintenance on multichannel line-of-site systems, communications security devices, and associated equipment. I also performed preventive maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles, and installed, operated, and performed preventive maintenance checks and services on 5K and 10K power generators. My duties also included analyzing BIT/BITE diagnostics to isolate faults to the Line Replaceable Unit, installed, operated, performed strapping and restrapping, preventive maintenance checks and services, unit level maintenance on communication security (ComSec) devices, and Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services on assigned vehicles. I used most Microsoft business applications including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Windows operating system in an office environment. I also received the U.S. Army Good Conduct Medal. My last 18 months of service involved being the driver for the company Executive Officer, frequently for the Battalion Sgt. Maj., and for the Maj. Gen. in command of Ft. Texas. I separated from Military service with an Honorable Discharge as a disabled veteran.
