    My primary project while at Swisslog/Munck was the Wawa Distribution Center in Pennsylvania. 16 mini-load cranes and about 3/4 of a mile of conveyors. This project allowed Wawa to open stores as far south as Virginia Beach, VA. Though this project took longer than scheduled, it is now been in operation since 2000 and is one of Swisslog's Major Success Stories.

    Auto Beauty Clinic was the largest Auto Detail Shop in SE Virginia. In the 9+ years the company tripled in size in sales. ABC had a state of the art facility located in mid town Newport News. In 1986, ABC became the largest TST (Total Systems Technology) Franchise. In addition to the daily running of the facility (sales & marketing,quality control, training, daily accounting functions, etc), I was also the regional sales manager for TST.

    The primary project that I was assigned to was the Addition of the Brik-Pak Storage ASRS for Johanna Farms (now Johanna Foods). It is a 2 aisle, double deep, ASRS to store pallets of juices directly from the filler area. The original project include 2 AGV's (automated guided vehicles), 2 Cranes SRM with double deep forks, Rack Supported Building, outbound conveyor and inspection station. Johanna Foods continues to be a Munck (now Swisslog) customer.

    I worked in the Plant Engineering Division/Structural & Architectural Section as an Architect. Designed and managed numerous projects during my 6 1/2 years at Langley. Primarily worked on the "people" buildings rather than the research facilities. Projects include: Graphics Building, Addition to the Visitors Center, Clean Room in Building 1202, Addition to 1192, End Wall of 1195, Center's Master Plan, etc.
