    I began working as a speaker and consultant for Humor Consultants, Inc. part time in 1992. In 1994, I joined as a full-time member of the company which was dedicated to teaching organizations how to use play and humor to improve problem-solving, team effectiveness and customer relationships. In addition to my role as a speaker and consultant I was involved in sales and marketing and I also designed and delivered programs, wrote and edited content for publication, and developed products and services.

    I was a high school teacher of Language Arts for 11 years in the district. During that time I taught regular and advanced English; intervention reading and developmental reading; writing composition, speech and communications; theater, acting and study skills. In addition to my instructional duties I also was the drama director, producing two shows per year, and I was also the yearbook adviser. In 1992, I received a Teacher of the Year award.
