I worked as a Tax Consultant in PwC, the leading financial services firm in Ireland.I was based in the Domestic International Outbound (DIO) department where I am part of the Merger and Acquisitions (M&A) Team and Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) Review Team.I dealt with firms from a range of Industries including; construction, property/retail companies, semi state bodies and medical institutions.In PwC I gained valuable experience in the areas of domestic and international taxation including exposure to a number of consultancy projects and technical tax issues. Key responsibilities & accomplishments− Tax Due Diligence – Buyer & Seller side− Reviewing and Evaluating Share Purchase Agreements(SPA),Asset Purchase Agreements (APA) and Loan sale Agreements (LSA)− Two client secondments (3months each).− Providing Audit of Tax services to domestic and international groups− Prepare and critically review corporation tax returns to ensure they fully meet legal requirements− Ensure clients tax compliance cycle is adhered to and up to date on an ongoing basis.− Advice on the Migration of Tax Residency into and out of Ireland− Understand, evaluate and be involved in the design of tax related restructuring plans for multi-national companies to locate in Ireland and various international locations. − Companies in Liquidation− Revenue Submissions− Close Company Issues− Resolution of ad hoc accounting and tax issues raised by clients.− Maintain client relationships at the appropriate level and uphold the reputation of the firm.
