    Reports needed repairs to appropriate personnel.Supervises resident advisors.Becomes acquainted with residents in assigned hale.Orients new students to the residence hall and the University by explaining occupancy criteria, proper maintenance and surrounding facilities through meetings, activities and individual contacts. Meets individual and group residents needs by being available and accessible to students for both formal and informal contact.Encourages consideration of others and ensures quiet hours are kept.Coordinates room changes, with the Housing Office, when study habits conflict or roommate concerns necessitate a change.Provides spiritual, social and academic programming in the residence hall. Participates in hale activities.Conducts regular apartment cleaning inspections (white glove) with assistance from resident advisors while keeping own apartment clean and in good repair by reporting all work orders to the appropriate personnel.Organizes a Hale Council.Handles routine disciplinary action for students who have violated the terms and conditions of occupancy. May be handled by the Hale Advisor and or Hale Council. Serious or repeat violations are referred for counseling to the Honor Code Office. Sanctions may be given in the form of community service or fines to help residents learn responsible behavior.Keeps an orderly, current file on each student, a room inventory, confidential reports, a counseling log, any violation notices.Participate in workshops and training sessions.Represents the University and Housing program to students and visitors.May be asked to assist other housing/residential life areas as needed.Employee is on-call at all times.
