    Worked at OC Robotics / GE Aerospace for 12 months as a mechanical engineer for my university placement. During my time here I had the opportunity to develop my engineering design skills and engage with an incredibly talented group of engineers. I was involved in several projects, working closely with the team and providing useful input from a mechanical perspective. I applied knowledge learnt from university and also expanded skills in software such as Autodesk Inventor as well as programming languages like Python. As this was a relatively smaller company I was given a chance to observe and understand every side of the company, ranging from different engineering departments to project management and logistics. This year at OCR was extremely valuable for my career development and I am extremely grateful for the whole team for their support.

    In the winter of 2019 I interned in Arup in Hong Kong. This week long internship exposed me to the industry of building engineering, working closely with designs of the Hong Kong Palace Museum project, including assisting with annotation on engineering drawings and making calculations for certain beam profiles used.
