    Through this role I have had the pleasure of working with people requiring special educational needs.From enhanced support, to one to one coaching and Makaton led coaching. I have worked with organisations such as the NEAS (North East Autistic Society) in assisting to create trampolining sessions better suited to those who have autism. I have even worked with children who have mobility issues. This has been an incredibly humbling and rewarding area of work to come into, not to mention challenging. I have enjoyed every second of it and whenever someone manages something they have been working on for a while it makes me so happy.

    During my time at AAAsports I have taught gymnastics and trampolining at a number of schools. Whether this be an after school club or part of the curriculum. I am always happy and excited to go into work as I do not know what kind of challenges await and I simply love working with the energy of children. I have taught routines, general gymnastics skills, or engaged in preparation for competitions, either internally or between different schools. These have included Belmont Community School in Durham, Oakfield Junior School in Gateshead and Farringdon Community Academy in Sunderland, as well as many more!

    In this I teach a mixture of martial arts, Freerunning, Parkour and a discipline called Tricking. In this I currently hold a L3 qualification which allows me to teach anything from wall flips to kick the moon. This is the highest currently available qualification for Freestyle in the UK.

    In this role I gained experience in all areas of Journalism, from Sports to Film to Issues. I learned the importance of speed and accuracy in taking notes, as well as the individual presentation which they require from the story in which they are to be included. This helped to develop all areas of my Journalistic practice, from my News Writing and News Gathering, to interview techniques. It also helped to develop my presentation skills as I was used as one of the lead anchors in a mock news broadcast in early 2010.
