As President of Walnut Hill College, I have the opportunity to work with amazing student-centered colleagues. As well, I am truly fortunate to be part of the education of hundreds of wonderful, dedicated students. Our students are our best assets! The college is located in the University City section of Philadelphia. We have 14 buildings that make up our campus. There are four open-to-the-public restaurants, a pastry shop, and cafe, a college store/gift shop, and dorms . The college offers 4 majors - Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, Pastry Arts and Restaurant Management. Students can earn their Associate Degree in 18 months or stay on for their Bachelors Degree for an additional 18 months.Students receive all of the necessary books and participate in exciting travel experiences - all covered by tuition.Culinary and Pastry students in the Associate Degree travel to France for a week-long gastronomic voyage thru Champagne, Burgundy and Paris. The cost is covered by the tuition.Restaurant and Hotel Management students in the Associate Degree have a week-long behind-the-scenes experience in hospitality. They travel to central Florida visiting resorts, theme parks and a variety of hospitality operations and then board a three-day cruise to the Bahamas. The cost is covered by the tuition. If students stay on for their Bachelor's Degree they participate in a week-long hospitality trip to England; which is included in the tuition. Therefore; Bachelor degree students have two international trips. The college has a very lively student activities program with 22 student clubs and activities. With its Philadelphia location, the students benefit from being situated in a very upbeat restaurant, hotel and hospitality city.
