    As a Placement Broker, my role is to assist account managers with the formulation of an appropriate renewal strategy for their clients, one that incorporates a client’s specific risk appetite, along with the broader insurance market environment and challenges. With larger or more complex clients, we also develop and negotiate solutions with both local and global markets and seek to secure competitive premiums and coverage. These are typically with clients who purchase large limits, exposed to natural disasters or high risk industries, require offshore market capacity, or have had an adverse claims experience. We serve as a leading authority within Marsh NZ, through our understanding of the changing insurance and risk market conditions, and we communicate the major developments affecting various types of coverage and price down to our account managers and to their clients.
