I worked primarily with Lauren Hahn, Dr. Kat Lee, and Drs. Serletti and Tecce at the Perelman School of Medicine's Center for Digital Health. My specific contribution to the project involved building out an SMS-based platform to replace post-operative visits for patients recovering from cancer-related surgery. I assisted with animal-related tasks and, in doing so, ultimately got to contribute to the iTango platform project. I was included as co-author on this paper: Nat Methods. 2017 May;14(5):495-503. doi: 10.1038/nmeth.4234. Epub 2017 Apr 3.

I worked under the mentorship of Dr. Bruno Melillo in Dr. Amos Smith's natural product synthesis lab. I submitted my masters thesis regarding my specific contribution to the project--the synthesis of the active compound's enantiomer. I thought the most interesting aspect of the project was the synthetic scheme, which involves late-stage functionalization of a common intermediate. I am listed as a co-author on a group paper here: ACS Med Chem Lett. 2016 Jan 19;7(3):330-4. doi: 10.1021/acsmedchemlett.5b00471. eCollection 2016 Mar 10.
