    Successfully launched and represented various pharmaceutical drugs. Sounds simple but it required stamina, discipline and determination. Physicians are busy and don't have time for you. You have goals to meet. You also want to make sure your drugs are being prescribed correctly. It was a very difficult but rewarding job. Only reason I quit was to stay home with the kids. Very lucky to have a choice.

Unfortunately, my manager was mean, demeaning and liked to get you worked up to tears. 9/10 representatives that were hired under him quit. They wouldn't fire him. His dad was higher up in the company. I left for Roche Labs. What A WONDERFUL company!

    First job at 16 was as a bag boy at Safeway. I say "boy" because the manager wouldn't hire me at first since I was a girl. I finally got the job and he would make me work extra hard to prove myself. "See those 4 pallets of 50# bags of salt for the water softeners? I'd like you to move them...individually...about 30 feet to the left." I lasted two years as a bagboy and then moved to checker during the summers at home from college. I learned a lot about food sales but what I learned most was that I couldn't imagine working everyday doing the same old thing. My brain was dead. I needed to go to college.
