My passion for problem solving and finding solutions for clients is engaged through mock trials, case strategy research, focus groups, community attitude surveys, witness preparation, opening statement clinics, video-deposition analysis, jury selection, trial analysis, shadow juries, and juror interviews. I was a pioneer in jury research in the 1980s and in online studies since 2006.

As a designated expert in survey methods, I design consumer studies for likelihood of confusion in trademark infringement cases and have had studies admitted into evidence. My doctorate in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on Research Methodology, Communication, and Instructional Psychology along with years of experience working as a social scientist provided solid training. After completing my dissertation, Communication Skills and Cognitive Processes in Productively Reducing Uncertainty in Ambiguous Instructional Messages, I taught Research Design and Tests & Measurements to graduate students.

In a leadership position with the ABA Section of Litigation, I actively involved committee members in trial practice CLE programs and connected lawyers across the country. My philosophy is to make lawyers look their best. We won the "Best Theme Adaptation" award at the ABA Section of Litigation Annual Meeting (2010 & 2011). Feb. 2012, I chaired the Los Angeles Regional Workshop, Closing Arguments that Rock: How to Move Judges and Juries.

While the Products Liability Committee membership co-chair (2004-2011), we increased membership activity including the birth of the Food & Supplements subcommittee that launched its first annual meeting at Coca Cola Headquarters in Atlanta. I helped develop programs and included new members at Section Annual Meetings and Regional Committee Meetings (i.e., Chemical Regional at DuPont / Pharmaceutical Regional at Pfizer, Schering Plough, and Johnson & Johnson / WIPL Regional in several cities / Automotive Regional meeting at Nissan.)

As a member of the ABA Section of Litigation’s Task Force on the Image of the Profession, I chaired programs at the USC Annenberg School and the University of Texas (Law and Journalism Schools). One goal of the task force was to promote communication between lawyers, journalists and the judiciary. Another goal was to educate the public about lawyers’ contributions to service. I designed a study that measured public perceptions of lawyers and presented results at an ABA Section of Litigation Annual Conference.
