Experience

    • Santa Claus/potter/sculptor/miniaturist

      • United States

"Seasonally", I portray the jolly old elf, Santa Claus. I've been doing this for a number of years. I contract my Santa"gigs" directly, through texts to my phone ...OR, through a cool site - GigSalad. Being a Santa is a wonderful and "magical" experience. The joy on children's faces is priceless. Meanwhile, the Hairy Potter's Pottery business isn't "shut off" amidst the holiday season...The two professions are "linked" in my mind -I make SO many "smaller" pieces that ultimately end up going into someone's Christmas stocking....The stoneware and porcelain array of unique and OOAK "gifts" can be found on Etsy, under Hairy Potter's Pottery.

      • Chandler AZ... & Etsy.com

I work in a vast variety of "themes", styles, sizes, and clay types. Many of my pieces are of a "smaller" stature and lend themselves to Christmas stocking gifts. I incorporate sculpting, decorating, and even other media such as silver, gold or glass in my clayworks. I make mugs, jugs, bowls, bells, bird banks, "doughnut flasks", scenic painted bolo ties, potion pots that can be worn as necklaces, face pots, and lots of dollhouse 1/12th scale miniature pots....Lots of my work has a folk art look and it is very unique... Prices range from $ 6.00 (spoon rest) to $15,000.00 for a miniature sculptural assemblage which incorporated over 400 miniatures...with lots of on the lower side (under $95.00) ... New work seems to be miniature oriented with the finished pieces becoming nature-themed jewelry for both women and men...... Much of my time is spent with my inspirational son, Lyrik Gabriel...he keeps me busy - thinking, learning, and smiling.......His creative work should be on the Etsy shop soon - he is getting quite good...
