    At Mazars, I established and then led the Business Performance Improvement consulting team, specialising in Management Information and process improvement change projects. In a varied consulting career with Mazars, I delivered hundreds of successful projects in wide variety of sectors, and with clients of various sizes from entrepreneurial businesses and not for profit to mid-cap and large listed clients. A significant aspect of the role, that was very rewarding was helping to develop the skills of the talented team members I was lucky enough to work with. It is wonderful to see so many of them doing so well as consultants in a variety of businesses.

I led many successful projects, with a focus on streamlining operational and financial processes, leading a large scale systems transformation, developing operational simulations, planning models and implementing Management Information solutions.I still regard Bass as one of the highest quality businesses that I have been privileged to work with. The opportunities that these roles provided were so many and varied that I can still draw on the experiences.

    From University I joined the graduate scheme at British Steel and was promoted rapidly through a variety of consulting jobs at the UES plant at Stocksbridge near Sheffield.The quality of the technical skills and experiences of the senior members of the team that I joined helped to provide excellent opportunities to develop process improvement, organisation design and analytics techniques in a complex and challenging business environment.From the outset, I found that I had an aptitude in analytics and operational and financial modelling that became a platform from which to build in later roles.
