On the Checkers foods, Checkers and Checkers Hyper Non-foods and CFS accounts I had to be present in the Creative & DTP studios concurrently. I dealt primarily with the day to day presence of the these brands in newspapers that appeared in every corner of South Africa, Namibia & Botswana. I was also sometimes required to take a print idea and make it work on various digital channels. When a campaign was approved it needed to be rolled out so that the communication was consistent & strong in a variety of forms of media. It also needed to be quality controlled for the duration of that campaign. Work ethic: When I receive a brief, it’s vital that I determine what not to do first. It eliminates recklessness & it helps me manage my time effectively. Advertising is far more than aesthetics, it's about discipline.A typical day: • Liaised with different departments on numerous occasions • Dealt directly with DTP to advise & troubleshoot• Dealt directly with client service with regards to problems • Was in constant contact with the Executive Creative Director and Group Heads• Was of a team that reviewed all Checkers & CFS (Checkers Food Services) DTP layouts • Was on the team that signed off all DTP FAs (around 10-15 different layouts a day)While all of that was happening opportunities like conceptual briefs happened, like• Full campaigns (concept, execution & roll-out)• Checkers non-foods reviews & sign-offs• Non-foods campaign development• Point Of Sale concept & roll-out• Digital work including Facebook posts, website artwork, GIF creation, Banner ad roll-out• Creating Shoprite Group annual report covers • Logo creation
