    I was recruited for the Military; Finance Budget Sec at the Quarter Master General at Karl Kling Building Pretoria, then I was transferred to the Accounting Sec in 1989. In 1990 I was transferred to the Chief Staff Finance Audit Sec at Prospect House who moved to the Armscor Building, Pretoria, where I've worked for 10 years. During this time I was on ad hoc basis involved with the compilation of the SCOPA for submission to Parliament. On ad hoc basis I did yearly the Appropriation Statements & was also involved as Chair for the Labour Relation Committees and the Performance Moderating Committees. I was also involved with the compiling of the Public Finance Management Act in 1998/99 within the DOD. I was part of the Committee on Restructuring the DOD during 1998/99. I was the Secretary for monthly Accountants Meetings for more than 10 years & on occasions also for the CFO Meetings. In 2000 I was transferred to the Directorate Central Accounts Control (DCA) Sec involved with the compillation of the Annual Financial Statements & on ad hoc, I was the central point for all Fin Policies. In 2002 my expertise was needed & I was transferred to the newly compiled DCA Debtors Sec wrt writing off more than 7000 stale Debtor cases - as Manager I had to run 2 Sections at a time. I co-write in 2004 the Training Manuel for the Course on Debtors Collection & edited the Debtors Policy written by J. Breytenbach & in 2004 write a detailed Debtors Policy within the DOD, reviewed 2013/promulgated 2016). I was delegated as Disciplinary Officer & Chaired the Performance Moderating Committee for more than 20years in the Finance Administration Sec & in the DCA environment. Act as the Personnel Nodal point in DCA & manage Staffing Boards 2002-2015. During my period working for the DOD I manage to attend & represent various courses to equip myself, my Staff/other Finance Functionaries in different fields of managerial positions.

    I have started working in the office of the General Correspondence Section of Population Registration number 1. The queries differ from the rectifications of dates on a personal record to the change of names or surnames. In cases where there were disputes, it could only be solved by courts. I have worked very close with the State Attorney's and private Attorney's like for example the Black Sash. As a Supervisor I worked with a big Section (more than 20 on staff) which included students that had worked on different time schedules. During the period I was also selected and part of four Supervisors that was choosen to undergo an Instructors Course. I also underwent fisical training how to react and assist during cases of fire, a bomb thread, buddy care, and to clear a building side, etc.
