Oversee state-wide re-entry initiative.Provide technical assistance, training (deliver and develop), program development, skills building and workshops for Maryland American Job Centers, community/faith-based organizations, government/private agency partners to include but not limited to the following:- Identifying and Working with Barriers to Employment- Utilizing Career Theory and Assessments to Assist Individuals with Career Decision-Making - Job Seeker Employability - 21st Century Employability Skills- Role of Collaboration in Meeting the Needs of Job Seekers: Planning/Implementing Workforce Development Services and engaging community resources- Professional Ethics- Professional Development: Understanding Yourself and Others; Offender Workforce Development Specialist (OWDS) certification training - plan, coordinate, and develop training for workforce development specialists, public safety staff, community service providers.Also coordinate the Federal Bonding Program for Maryland - assist employers in completing their request for a fidelity bond and train Local Bonding Coordinators who work directly with job seekers.
