    Managing team of engineers in Michigan Assembly Plant through the launch of Ranger 2023MY.This role is high-intensity with the expectation of 24hr turnaround on fixing issues. I was managing an inexperienced team of engineers mostly from Ford of Mexico along with some local US engineers.Throughout the launch we were the best-performing team, always fixing our issues in a timely manner and although the program had several delayed gateways, it was never due to interior issues.I interfaced with many other teams and presented multiple times in front of Ford Directors with positive feedback.This role entailed very long hours working in the plant during the day and weekends and usually working into the evening liaising with engineers back in Australia where the engineering team is located for all the Ranger products.

    Leading a team of 17 interior launch engineers, 3 travellers from Australia and the remainder being local Thai engineers. This was a very successful launch for interior and I am extremely proud of the way I was able to coach, guide and make a a great team even though most of the team had little or no launch experience and was all achieved during the COVID pandemic. Previous launches had been supported with entirely travelling engineers from Australia so this was a wholely new experience.

The team consisted of 15 engineers re-deployed from the re-located Powertrain organisation. At the end of this assignment the team was split into Hard and Soft Trim and robustly handed over to 2 supervisors. The teams continue to grow and now have over 10 engineers in each.

    Voluntary role as webmaster for Croquet Victoria. During this time I created an entirely new database-driven website for an organisation of 92 clubs and over 2500 members. The database includes all players, events, office holders, club information etc and is fully linked and user-updateable. This website is still in place to this day with some minor tweaks from my successor in this role and has made a huge reduction in administative burden on the organisation.

During my time there I took the opportunity to get qualified as an electrician and was running projects including the wiring of a whole floor of a hospital wing. I am quite proud of what I achieved in a short time here and that I showed a willingness to get up and do something at a time when graduate jobs were very thin on the ground.
